Computer & Job Training Center
In Uganda there are millions of people who would get an income if they had computer skills.
This computer training center will help give single mothers and widows, computer skills to help them easily get jobs.
Also, school drop outs, graduates who can’t be employed due to lack of computer skills will definitely be helped. For example at KICC church only, we presently have 89 University graduates who have been denied jobs due to lack of computer skills!
We need $ 28,000 for the building and 50 new computers.
Multi-purpose
This will be a multi-purpose facility providing space for several offices for the administration of HOL Uganda and also training centers for many job enabling skills, such as sewing and jewelry making.
When we get the money, we hope to use the period from the 2nd week of December to January 31st, 2010 for building. We will open it in February 2010.
Once this building is constructed we will establish specific programs to help serve the needs of the women and empower them for a self-sufficient future. Please visit us again to check our progress and to learn of other ways that you can be involved.
