Hands of Love USA (HOL) is continuing its partnership with Atlanta Youth Academy (AYA) for a Holiday Challenge for all students and parents of the school. We welcome the participation of other schools and organizations to help us reach our goal.
The AYA Student vs. Parent Fundraising Challenge 2009 is for the purpose of purchasing a playground and funding for a Christmas celebration for the children at Hands of Love Orphanage and School in Kampala, Uganda in December 2009. The goal is $10,000. All monies donated will go directly to Uganda for the gifts and playground purchase.
Students and Parents of AYA will have the opportunity to collect donations from friends, family and others willing to give. The Challenge will be for parents to match or beat their child’s collected donations. The goal is $40 collectively.
Here’s how it works:
In early November, a picture of an orphan and information on that orphan will be sent home with each AYA student along with a two pledge forms (1 for the parent and 1 for the student) and one sponsorship brochure
Your child will have from November 10th - November 20th to raise as much money as they can from family and friends to enable their child to have a Christmas they won't forget! (Suggested goal - $20)
Parents will have from November 20th – November 30th to match the donations your child has collected by reaching out to coworkers, friends, church members, relatives, etc.
ALL MONIES WILL BE DUE ON NOVEMBER 30th
Rewards will be given to those that give it their all!
If any Parent/Student Team gets their orphan sponsored there is a BONUS in store! Sponsorship is just $40 a month.
IMPORTANT:
All students are requested to write a letter or Christmas card and attach a photo for their child to be sent in with your donations. You will receive a letter back from your child.
